The Roving Maintenance Technician II serves a crucial role by performing all regular and customary technician activities, working at 7 different communities throughout the Nashville, Tennessee area. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the physical integrity of the community.

Work Hours: 40 hours per week, as scheduled, Monday through Sunday. Weekly schedule may change as required. May be necessary to work weekends. On-call on a rotating basis for emergencies.

Essential Duties:

Perform routine preventative maintenance on all appropriate equipment as directed by management

Respond to and complete service requests, including performing minor and routine maintenance/repair, as directed, involving the following on a daily basis: HVAC systems, interior/exterior lighting, boiler/gas/electric, Pool areas, water irrigation systems, electrical & plumbing, tile/carpet/flooring, roofing/gutters, ceiling leaks

Assist with the completion of all needed make-ready repairs and services

Remove and transfer heavy appliances and equipment from storage area to unit (or vice versa) as circumstances warrant

Assist in moving abandoned furniture, appliances, and other items to the dumpster when necessary

Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and supplies; weekly inform manager of shortages

Assist in keeping grounds neat and free of litter. Rake, sweep, shovel, power wash and pick up trash as circumstances warrant

Perform additional duties requested by management

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in building maintenance or an equivalent field

Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction

Valid driver's license, a working vehicle and liability insurance are required
