Transfer Driver Needed: Immediate openings for both FULL & PART TIME in Nashville/LaVergne. Area. Requires Class B with airbrake endorsement, a clean M V R, current medical card and DRIVE with a STANDARD/MANUAL TRANSMISSION. We move vehicles only, no freight. This would be ideal for semi- retired person or Firemen. Applicant must be neat in appearance and have local transportation to work. Applicant must have good peoples skills, being outgoing and courteous to customers. We very strongly are looking to hire a non-smoker, as the drivers are not allowed to smoke in company or customer vehicles. Most of the work is day trips, home at night. We do have some overnight trips if driver wants to take them. Must be able to lift a 55 pound hitch occasionally. We very seldom have any weekend work, so if you are only available on weekends or nights this will not work for you or us, sorry.
We transfer mostly new, but some used trucks as well. Most trucks moved are tractors, some cab and chassis, and a few box trucks. We furnish all transportation when moving vehicles and pay motel expense, if needed. Trucks are moved from Byrdstown, TN to Nashville area, Nashville to Tupelo, Columbus, MS, Jackson, and Memphis TN. We have longer moves also, such as Chillicothe, OH to Nashville, Tupelo and Memphis.
We are a small family owned company that is 25+ years old and very seldom ever have a driver to leave.
Please email us information about your previous 2 years driving experience and safety record, a good telephone number and a good time for us to call you. Prefer, but not mandatory, that you live within one hr. of LaVergne, TN. You will be hired and paid as an independent contractor. You will be paid for all work performed through Saturday night the following Friday, every Friday.
