This is an unusual job, but varied due to the business we are in.
Diesel Performance Parts, Inc. is a wholesale distributor of all things diesel related. We are replacing a 7 year employee that has been offered a job that is his dream job, we are quite sorry to lose him, be he is bettering himself so good for him.
What we need to find is a IT oriented person that has knowledge of mass e mail products, can operate and process XL and Access files to update our pricing matrix in our Quick Books Enterprise software. Can do advertising graphics thru Photo Shop/ Illustrator etc for weekly mass e mailers as well as magazine advertisements. Help us with in house minor IT and equipment issues. We do have an outside management company for any serious or over the top IT issues. Maintain our manufacturers master files for discounts, terms and conditions and apply them to Quick Books pricing updates. Handle monthly database back ups and clean ups. Deal with and keep updating of Facebook, Twitter etc related to new products and or promotional programs. On occasion we need the phone answered when everyone else is already on the phone and busy. The phone ringing is an indication of the pay check you will receive, it is the prime revenue producer and we all need to make sure it is answered. You would not be responsible to make sales, but just answer the call and get it passed on to be handled by a sales person.
As I mentioned it is a very unusual list of responsibilities, but that keeps it interesting too as you are not working on the same items day to day to day.
Everyone at Diesel Performance Parts, Inc is paid via a salary and commissions on what the company sells each month. We feel that all employees should get commissions base on the companies performance as we need everyone with skin in the game and to be pulling the rope together no matter what the job responsibilities are. It produces a team effort no matter the job.
We provide company paid vacation time, sick days, Blue Cross Blue Shield healthcare and a pretty nice work environment. What Diesel Performance Parts, Inc. requires is a CAN DO ATTITUDE.
