Looking for: Looking for a versatile female who can help in the office and on job sites with my “Current Service Business”, with a new “Online Business” and as “Personal Assistant” to free up my time.

Hours: 40 hours / week

Pay: FREE PLACE TO LIVE on 21 acres in the mountains, ALL YOUR EXPENSES PAID (Incl Medical Insurance) and some CASH each week.

Summary of duties:

1. Service Business: I am a middle age male who has built a small well established business I have owned for a number of years servicing about 220 customers in upper East TN. I need help in many different ways; some examples are typing word documents, filing, internet research, misc. paper work, talking to customers, visiting post office, running errands, buy/order supplies & parts, mail/ship things, and other computer / internet related tasks. It is a small business so you will not get bored doing the same thing over and over again as in larger companies.

I would also like someone who would help me with service work in businesses and homes. A few examples of tasks would be to prep service tickets and parts before visiting job sites, get tools / parts from truck, moving tools to next work area, take notes and diagrams on job sites, programming, dealing with customer, get customer Information, teaching customer, fielding some office related phone calls while on job site or on the road, cleanup before leaving. Some small easy wiring projects and some low ladder work will be needed (3 or 4 steps). If you are handy with small hand tools such a screwdrivers and plyers, you will feel at home (I supply the tools). I will provide transportation. The purpose of you coming along is to help out so we can get in and out as quickly as possible.

2. Personal Assistant: “Personal Assistant” tasks will involve personal errands, weekly grocery shopping, weekly cleaning of office / small house, laundry, making nightly meals, car cleaning, assist with some yard work (lawn is mowed by someone else), etc. I am not lazy or above doing tasks myself as I have for years, but I need to unload my schedule to create more time to work on the new online business.

3. Online Business: I would like your help with an online business I am starting in a variety of ways. More will be explained in person as it would take too much space, but I assure you it is unique. This business can provide a lighter work schedule in future plus big financial rewards for us. Your overall mission is to free up my time so I can work more on this project and get it launched in next several months.

Location: Home / Office is located about 10 minutes’ drive south of University Parkway (off of Cherokee Rd), Johnson City, TN. The location of my home / office on 21 acres provides a laid back work atmosphere, a very peaceful and beautiful place to work and live if you love nature (such as woods, flowing creek just outside the window, deer, wild turkey and such). No room for kids as it is a very small home (will build new home in about a year or so).

Main Goals:

- Both of us will work in the current business to make money to pay our bills.

- Start the online business as soon as possible, sell current service business, then we will concentrate on the On-line Business ONLY. That is where we are headed.

- I need your help to take the load off of me as much as possible, therefore freeing me up to work on and launch the on-line business.

Physical Requirements: Because of the nature of some tasks such as working on a job site anywhere from a few hours to a full day, I would like someone who is a bit more physically fit, energetic and not afraid to get your hands dirty occasionally, yet work in office 2 - 4 days a week.

General: Most everyday will be different; this is not your typical job. I am looking for a person who is not afraid to apply themselves, self-motivated; self-managing can work independently and as a team, detailed and organized are high priorities of mine, prefers to make themselves “indispensable” (job security) verses figuring out ways to “coast”.

Misc: No smoking or drugs, able to pass a back ground check, casual dress. A dog will be present (in case you have allergies or don’t like dogs). He is very well behaved, very personable, loved by all and sleeps most of the time.

Summary: I know the above has been long, but I wanted you to have the info needed to consider if this job is right for you or not as I understand it is not your “typical job”. But there has got to be someone who would like to learn many new things, enjoy a varied schedule of work duties and would enjoy the challenge of pursuing a defined set of goals and seeing tangible results occur verses doing the “same thing day in and day out”. I have one assistant already (who I hired a year and half ago), but I have finally realized things are not progressing as fast as I would like. I still have too much load upon me personally and it is too much for one person, everything is moving at a snail’s pace and it is just killing me. I need your help.
