Job Description

We have exciting opportunities for energetic, driven and detail orientated Release and Deployment Coordinators who are eager to be a part of a growing Service Management account. Our government client has recently commenced upon a journey to reshape the departments technology branch and embrace the benefits of a comprehensive ‘Service Integration and Management’ (SIAM) structure. As a result, we are seeking highly motived and dedicated Release & Deployment coordinators to join our established team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning, coordinating and deploying approved changes on a 24/7 shift rotation
  • Scheduling and coordinating technical and non technical resources to action deployment components as per a predefined release/task plan
  • Administering change and release records within the IT Service Management tool (ServiceNow)
  • Engaging testing resources and validating outcomes to certify deployment results
  • Enforcing adherence and driving compliance of processes and procedures throughout a change and release lifecycle
  • Identifying, managing, and attempting to mitigate potential risks associated with releases
  • Administration of release schedules and post implementation handover documents
  • Collaborating with related Service Management teams such as Change, Incident & Problem Management
  • Liaising, and developing relationships with internal and external department service providers/vendors
  • Participating in, and eventually chairing Release Advisory Boards (RAB)
  • Engaging and providing proactive updates to senior stakeholders and leadership when required

Qualifications

Previous experience working in another Release role (6+ months)– required
Previous experience using the ServiceNow ticketing platform– highly desirable
Previous exposure to Change and/or Release Management– highly desirable
ITIL V3/V4 Foundations or higher– highly desirable
Experience within a ‘Service Integration and Management (SIAM)’ structure– highly desirable
