Hours: Wed, Thursday & Friday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM

Hourly Pay at $10.50 to start. After six months, 3% increase subject to performance.

Must have valid license.

Punctual and reliable.

Carry out skilled DIY & general maintenance work involved in all aspects of onsite building maintenance, both internal and external.

The role includes general building, DIY and maintenance including basic carpentry, plumbing, replacement of tiling and flooring and painting, etc.

The role also requires you to carry out general garden maintenance work involved in all aspects of maintaining a well cared for garden area. Tasks will include bush cutting, water blasting and landscaping.

Main Tasks/Duties and Responsibilities

Day to day responsibilities

– installation inspections, diagnosing faults, testing, replacement, repair and maintenance of building fixtures and fittings

– general plumbing including washers, taps, unblocking toilets, unblocking stacks, installing new sinks, urinals and toilets, pipework (copper or PVC)

– general carpentry such as hanging doors, new locks, architraves, window frames, boxing in, assembling furniture, easing and adjusting windows, replacing handles and similar hardware

– general tiling – floors and walls

– general painting & decorating

– basic electrical maintenance including changing out lights, replacing fixtures

– day to day care and maintenance of gardens and hedging

– monthly maintenance of building premises including water blasting, bush cutting, etc.

– regularly inspecting garden structures and undertaking minor repairs or advising Line Manager of any need to replace/rebuild

– general garden carpentry, replacing handles and similar hardware

- clear out debris, trash or move equipment or furniture from units

– identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair; to ensure compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices and health and safety

– carry out tasks within specified time limits

– ensure compliance to applicable codes, legislation and procedures including health and safety

– maintain accurate records/documentation associated with your work

– immediately report problems/failures that may impact on the organization and/or its clients/customers

– meet your targets and contribute to those of the team as a whole

– contribute towards the efficient running of the team

– adhere to all organisation policies and procedures
