Pamela's Caribbean Cuisine is an award-winning San Juan restaurant popular for special occasions. Adjacent to Numero Uno Pamela's is known not only for its exquisite Caribbean-fusion menu, but also for its one-of-a-kind beachside location.
We are looking for a fun, outgoing Chef that will be a good cultural fit to join our team!
Essential Functions:
⢠Menu planning
⢠Control menu costs and maintain appropriate food cost
⢠Hire, train, schedule, supervise and coordinate the work activities of all kitchen staff.
⢠set up and maintain relationship with vendors
⢠monitor food cost and numbers by raising and lowering prices according to market conditions.
⢠Prepare all necessary data for the budget; project annual food and labor costs.
Qualifications:
⢠Spanish speaking a must
⢠Must be able to start the week of 1/28/2019 to 02/01/2019
⢠2 + years in Executive Chef experience
⢠Past Management experience
⢠Demonstrated proficiency in food safety standards in the Food Code
⢠Excellent verbal & written communication skills
⢠Must have demonstrated experience in monitoring inventory and supply chain management
⢠Ability to work independently and within a team environment
⢠High level of customer service ability
⢠Strong problem solving and analytical skills
⢠Ability to prioritize and multi-task
