Pamela's Caribbean Cuisine is an award-winning San Juan restaurant popular for special occasions. Adjacent to Numero Uno Pamela's is known not only for its exquisite Caribbean-fusion menu, but also for its one-of-a-kind beachside location.

We are looking for a fun, outgoing Chef that will be a good cultural fit to join our team!

Essential Functions:

• Menu planning

• Control menu costs and maintain appropriate food cost

• Hire, train, schedule, supervise and coordinate the work activities of all kitchen staff.

• set up and maintain relationship with vendors

• monitor food cost and numbers by raising and lowering prices according to market conditions.

• Prepare all necessary data for the budget; project annual food and labor costs.

Qualifications:

• Spanish speaking a must

• Must be able to start the week of 1/28/2019 to 02/01/2019

• 2 + years in Executive Chef experience

• Past Management experience

• Demonstrated proficiency in food safety standards in the Food Code

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills

• Must have demonstrated experience in monitoring inventory and supply chain management

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• High level of customer service ability

• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
