The Janitor/Porter is responsible for performing the day-to-day and periodic cleaning activities in assigned work areas. Basic responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following tasks: trash removal, dusting, spot cleaning, mopping, vacuuming, washing/scrubbing projects, restroom cleaning, hard floor maintenance (including auto scrubbing, stripping, waxing, and burnishing), carpet maintenance (including spot removal, shampooing and extracting), laundry, pressure washing, recycling and miscellaneous general maintenance activities. Specific responsibilities for each individual Janitor/Porter are determined by C&W Services management based on the clientâs expectations, and the Janitor/Porterâs individual capabilities and experience.
Job Description
Perform daily and periodic tasks in assigned areas as directed
Perform all cleaning assignments in accordance with C&W Services approved procedures
Maintain a neat and orderly work area, including janitorial closets and storage areas
Maintain appropriate supply levels in assigned janitorial closets and storage areas
Ensure assigned equipment and tools are keep clean and in good working condition
