Bolongo Bay Beach Resort is seeking an IT Manager. A summary of the job duties is as follows:
Through application of standard business best practices in relation to Information Technology: support ongoing operations in a production environment and guarantee availability of services, while maintaining systems currently in place, as well as planning for future expansion, upgrades, maintenance and configuration. Services include (but not limited to) Point of Sale, Property Management Systems, Retail Sales, VOIP PBX, Switch Management, Wireless Technology, Windows 2003-2012 Server Administration, Backup Management, Firewall and Network Management, Antivirus Remote Administration, Inventory Management Solutions, Windows Group Policy, Active Directory and Layer 1 to Layer 3 network infrastructure support and design, including Domain and DNS management.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise on systems and recommendations for improvements.
Ensure completion of tasks and projects in coordination with various departments on time.
Maintain high level of response to high priority situations to maximize uptime must maintain a very flexible schedule to include nights and weekends.
Consistently and proactively test and verify network infrastructure.
Make decisions on a Strategic Business level to maximize Benefit/ROI vs. investment in technology.
Facilitate User Management through use of enterprise level application of Active Directory, Group Policy, Access Rights and Domain Management.
Guarantee smooth and reliable access to all IT systems including email, voice, data, and financial transactions.
Document and record all IT related processes and update Senior Management PoC on changes.
Continuously evaluate user needs and system functionality.
Perform updates, patches, maintenance when most convenient for property.
Maintain Daily as well as Monthly backups and store off-site in addition to disaster prevention backups.
Ability to explain complex solutions in simple terms.
Capability and physical capacity to install, troubleshoot, maintain wired devices, connections and infrastructure.
Negotiate and manage contracts and licensing for software, hardware, and vendors ensuring compliance under terms of use.
Scope of Work (Daily):
Backup File Verification using Backup Assist and RAID technology.
Network Inventory, Maintenance, DHCP management using Spiceworks Inventory and Networking Solutions-
Log clearing (all systems) including all servers, network switches, domain controller and application server.
Provide Tier III support to all end users.
Record and log all events and requests for support for historical data and trends using Spiceworks Help Desk.
System Monitoring and verification of operational status continuously.
System Auditing File Structure, User Access, Security Access.
Investigate utilization of network and hardware based off average metrics.
This Scope of Work is to be done daily and does not include mid- to long-term projects as will be listed separately and as approved by upper management.
