Christiansted Equipment, Ltd. a leader in the equipment rental and contractor supply distribution industry is seeking an experienced Maintenance & Service Supervisor to direct all equipment service, repair and maintenance efforts.
As Supervisor you will coordinate and direct all daily activities, workload and scheduling of Tool Repair Technicians and Heavy Equipment Mechanics on all maintenance, rental and parts repairs. Responsibilities also include effectively organizing and using resources to achieve optimal efficiency, while coordinating all shop repairs for rental/parts to maximize output and ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years supervisory experience within the rental repair and/or heavy equipment service industry. An above average mechanical aptitude with high quality standards is required. Familiarity with Safety regulations and standard precautions/practices will also be necessary. Must also be able to read and understand part breakdowns, schematics and blueprints and be proficient in the use of computer applications.
Excellent communication, time management and organization skills with a strong attention to detail/follow-up will be needed to keep up in this fast paced environment. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated, self-reliant an able to operate independently with little day to day direction, while exercising good independent judgment and decisions.
Prior leadership experience to include employee coaching, counseling, workload planning/monitoring, and appraising job results; conducting training; implementing/ enforcing systems, policies, and procedures to ensure success.
We are looking for a âworkingâ Supervisor that is capable of turning wrenches, while demonstrating a continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, strong work ethic, and quality workmanship. This position will require overtime (up to 12 hour work days) and weekend work, based on workload.
