Software Engineer Responsibilities

Lead the development of our in-house Applicant Tracking System

Use technology and software to increase decision-making skills of the company

Establish processes, define company development standards, identify and implement new and trending technologies

Develop a deep understanding of the system; write technical specifications; mentor development team; enforce coding standards

Gather business requirements, develop functional and technical specifications, and design optimal IT solutions to resolve business challenges

Practice a good QA discipline; utilize SDLC/Agile methodologies and security best practice for development

Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve production issues or requests, assist with 24/7 support of critical systems to ensure customer service levels are met

Lead root cause analysis on complex system problems; interact with internal team members and customers, and escalate as necessary

Key player in determining build-it or buy-it decisions

Software Engineer Qualifications

Proficient in Java (8), AWS, Spring, Hibernate (Spring Data), MySQL, Backbone JS / Javascript / CSS / Etc., ElasticSearch, Github, Confluence, Jira, MS Teams, AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins

Strong Experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, EBS, S3)

Must be able to work remotely
