The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP).

As dedicated specialized care facilities, Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital are designed to be efficient and result in faster recoveries and an enhanced patient experience.

Medical City Heart Hospital has 63 private patient rooms and provide a wide array of cardiac services including complex vascular and heart surgery, advanced heart failure treatment, minimally invasive vascular surgery and other specialized heart care. The facility will also have the only dedicated cardiac emergency room in Dallas.

The 24-bed Medical City Spine Hospital provides comprehensive and coordinated spine care for common spine disorders and rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities including adult and pediatric scoliosis, spondylolistheses, complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options among others. Nationally recognized board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeons with more than 40 years of groundbreaking experience will conduct industry-leading scoliosis research.

Qualifications

  • CNA training program preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in an

    acute care setting

  • AHA or ARC Basic Life support

    (BLS)
