Position Summary Responsible for providing personal assistance services to the client in order to maintain safety in the client's home.
Qualifications:
o Must be 18 years of age or older
o Must be able to speak, read and write in English
o Must have honesty and integrity
o MUST HAVE CURRENT DL, and Insurance on vehical
o Must have at least one year previous experience in care giving for the elderly OR have a current CNA certificate.
o Must not have a criminal record which would bar employment. Must be able to pass urine drug screen
o Must be able to tolerate a physical workload including standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
o Must be able to tolerate a variety of housing conditions
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Perform personal assistance services for clients as dictated by client needs/preferences, examples of which include:
o Assist in personal care such as lifting, turning, dressing, walking, bathing, changing and using the restroom
o Clean all areas used by client including sweeping, dusting, dishwashing, linen changing and laundry
o Prepare and administer client meals according to the client's dietary needs and wants o Errand running for the client, such as deliver bill payments, mail letters and grocery shopping o Transport client in the client's automobile with proper release form and proof of insurance
Other responsibilities include:
o Report any and all violations of client's rights
o Respect the client's personal property and report any damage, destruction or removal
o Complete and submit all documentation as designated in a timely manner.
o Maintain client confidentiality at all times
o Maintain professional relationships with the clients
o Communicate with immediate supervisor of changes in schedule or issues affecting ability to perform assigned duties
