Tired of driving to Austin every day fighting traffic? A local Bastrop company looking for a Controller. A successful candidate will have integrity and good work ethic. The candidate should also possess good financial and reconciliation skills in combination with strong communication. Experience in high volume retail environment strongly preferred.
The Controller will report directly to the owner.
Responsibilities
Financial Statement Preparation
Payroll and Payroll Tax Filings
Property Tax Filings
Human resources policies and practices
Accounts payable and 1099 filing
Tax filings in conjunction with CPA firm
Reconciliations (Bank Account, G/L Accounts, Credit Cards)
Sales and use tax compliance
Budgeting and forecasting
Manage credit card processing
Cash management and forecasting
Financial Analysis
Requirements
Bachelors degree, preferably in accounting or business management
Five years accounting experience in a business or corporate environment
Must know QuickBooks
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word (Formulas, VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)
Will need to work some weekends
Good communication skills
