Austin family with three older children and a sweet natured 18-month-old is looking for a stellar full-time Toddler Nanny to work 40-50 hours per week (generally between the hours of 7:30 a.m. - 6:00pm). Nanny will be expected to plan fun and engaging learning activities, including taking toddler to classes and kid-friendly places around town. Toddler Nanny will work as part of a dynamic team of caregivers. The hours of this position can fluctuate a bit and flexibility is an absolute requirement. This is not a typical nanny position, employee will be required to interact with managers, extended family and others that are in and out of the home and deal with the family. Nanny will also need to be comfortable with Mom in and out of the home. Additionally, Toddler Nanny will be responsible for all of the children from time to time and must be comfortable with taking care of up to 4 children at once.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Toddler Related:
Take care of all toddler's needs while on duty.
Taking toddler on various educational outings (classes - with approval, outdoors activities, playdates, etc).
Sanitize toddler's toys regularly and ensure batteries are replaced and all toys are functioning at all times.
Ordering and restocking diapers, wipes and diaper pail trash bags in the master and guest bedrooms.
Helping toddler reach developmental milestones by providing age-appropriate activities and positive interactions.
Suggesting & initiating purchases of developmentally appropriate products for toddler (coordinate w/mom).
Monitor amount of formula and toddler snacks - reorder (coordinate with mom) as necessary.
Maintain a weekly grocery list for toddler (Nanny Manager/Personal Assistant does the shopping 2x/wk).
Make meals for toddler.
Wash toddler's bottles and dishes.
Take care of all toddler's laundry (including bedding and changing pads).
Sorting, organizing and donating clothes as toddler outgrows them. Purchase new clothes as requested.
Child Care:
Child care for all four kids as needed/as designated on the schedule (not often, mostly just care of toddler)..
Enforce the children's completion of assigned chores (including enforcing care of pets and personal laundry).
Household Related:
Breakfast prep for kids on early mornings + occasional simple dinner prep on late nights.
Help to complete duties on the Daily Household Duties list (will provide).
Help with family laundry once per week (housekeepers come M-W- F and will do most of it).
Receive all packages (sorting, breaking down boxes/recycling).
Help with the occasional household organizational project (to be done only if there's time after completing above listed toddler duties)
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
â Years of professional experience working with toddlers; experience with older children a plus
â Good driving record
â Excellent communication and listening skills, plus an eye for detail
â Must be at least 26 years old
â Team player attitude
â MUST HAVE RESUME AND REFERENCES
PAY AND BENEFITS:
â Starting pay is $18-22/hr
â Overtime pay for all hours beyond 40 per week
â 5 paid holidays and 5 days of paid time off per calendar year
â Nanny car provided, however if use of personal vehicle is needed, mileage is reimbursed at the federal rate
