IMMERSION, NATURE AND COMMUNITY SCHOOL

SPANISH and/or FRENCH SPEAKING TEACHER
Los Amiguitos is a multi-age (pre-K 3 through 2nd grade) school that provides immersion in Spanish and in French as well as educational, physical, environmental and socio-emotional development, with an emphasis on nature and community building.
Outdoors education has been proven to be safer than indoors, and most families attending are very cautious in relation to Covid19.
Activities are relevant, creative, meaningful and engaging to the children. They range from creative arts, nature hikes and exploration, music, drama, movement, children led activities, dancing, cooking, to storytelling, gardening, to individual and group projects, hands on and multi-sensory activities, among others.
The school is located on E. MLK blvd, near the intersection with Airport blvd., not far from Mueller.

WE SEEK A PERSON WHO IS:
- Spanish speaker (native or near native), French speaker is a plus
- Enjoys being outside in all weather and getting messy with the children
- Experienced with multi-age groups of preschoolers ages 3-6
- Nurturing, flexible, enthusiastic
- Professional, responsible, proactive
- Passionate about child development and interested in alternative education
- Aspiring to work with co-teachers
-Good at communication skills with co-teacher, children and parents
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure safe, fun and engaging environment for children to grow and thrive as individuals and as a community of learners.
- Develops both long and short range activities in accordance with curriculum objectives, developmentally appropriate practice and program philosophy.
- Leads daily activities with the children.
- Participate in community activities (community gatherings, community camp-outs, field trips)
- Other duties as assigned

Full time or flexible part time positions available
