West Valley Staffing Group is currently seeking an Orbital Welder for our client in Austin, TX
Responsibilities
Perform orbital welding of tubing and components.
Sets up and calibrates power supply with the correct welding program.
Sets up gas mixing equipment.
Creates and logs weld coupons.
May perform tube preparation, including ultrasonic cleaning and manual/automatic tube cutting
Attendance is an essential job function
Performs other duties as required
Requirements
Good manual dexterity; ability to work with hand tools.
Basic computer literacy
Basic verbal and written communication skills
Basic math abilities, working with tight tolerances
Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics and blueprints
Strong attention to detail
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
Some technician coursework a plus
AWS certification/coursework a plus
2+ years welding experience working in a cleanroom environment
Work may require the ability to lift 10-20 pounds infrequently
Prolonged standing and bending intermittently during work hours.
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Is subject to frequent interruptions.
Ability to move arms, hands and fingers to type.
