Role : Tier 2 Network / Voice Engineer

Duration : Long-term or ongoing contract

Location : Austin, TX

Who We Need:

We are looking to fill a position for a Network/Voice Engineer. In this role the candidate must leverage a high level of troubleshooting to work on and resolve issues with various telephony endpoints and infrastructure. Training on the technologies are provided, but we are looking for a candidate that has a bedrock background in troubleshooting, support, and escalation management.

What You'll Do:

This position has excellent opportunity for growth and direct experience working with collaboration infrastructure/equipment. In addition, the candidate will have the opportunity to work with the industry leader in video collaboration in their engagements.

Job Duties:

- Provide troubleshooting expertise with video Cisco equipment.

- Manage escalated customer engagements providing coordination and customer support for issues beyond the scope of Tier 1

- Review and provide guidance on tickets deviating from process

- Manage and drive problem investigations to resolution.

- Coordinate work efforts with engineers to ensure continual work efforts on outstanding tickets.

- Analyze process flow and determine best steps for ensuring the resolution on Tier 1 tickets

Job Requirements:

- CCNA

- Strong troubleshooting skill

- Time/Self management skill

- Tenacity to drive tickets to resolution

- High level of attention to detail

- Mid level understanding of network topologies and troubleshooting skills for them.

- Mid level understanding of call routing concepts as they pertain to voice.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

- Voice/Video equipment experience.

- Experience with Ticketing processes and ticketing systems (Remedy preferred)

- 3-5 years in a support environment

- CCNA/CCNP Collaboration
