The Process Integration engineer is the technology owner for the factory.

They are the key owners of the QUALITY of every wafer that leaves the fab.

They must demonstrate strong ownership, accountability & knowledge, and constantly keep learning to further that knowledge.

They must also be able to balance the business need of the factory with maintaining QUALITY of the material that leaves the factory.

They form a key liaison between the customer and the fab alongwith the Quality and Reliability team.

New product introductions, yield improvement, stop loss reduction, cycle time improvements and other KPI improvements.

Design, execute, and analyze experiments.

Participate in Task Force Teams and YCCs.

Communicate technical information to senior leadership in/outside of the department through high quality presentations.

Submits wafers for FA and analyzes the results to formulate failure hypothesis.

Develops Change Point Management Plans and execute to set timelines.

Maintain strong relationship with S1 counterparts and work closely with them to improve yields / execute change points.

Maintain / improve BEOL electrical parameter performance to prevent scrap/excursions. Work with DEVICE team to achieve the same for FEOL parameters.

Use Structured Problem Solving techniques and proper risk assessment to solve problems / execute high risk projects.

Work days and hours: 1st Shift.

Skills and Qualifications

BS, MS, or PhD in physics, electrical engineering, chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or related field.

MS or PhD preferred.

Understanding of Device Physics, Semiconductor processing, and interactions between processes and its effect on electrical performance of the device.

Experience with LSI manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Experience in Yield or Process Integration in semiconductor manufacturing is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of structured problem solving techniques like Is-Is Not, Fish Bone, Fact-Theory matrix etc a plus.

Excel, JMP, Spotfire, Power point and strong data analysis and organization skills required.

Analysis skills, including yield analysis, electrical device characterization, yield issue investigations, data mining, DOE, and SPC.

Programming and/or scripting experience is a plus.

Must be capable of shifting focus and changing priorities - dealing with ambiguity.

Must demonstrate strong core values including: Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Quality, and Continuous Learning.

Must have excellent communication, documentation and presentation skills.

Must have interpersonal skills to escalate issues, get support, and effect lasting change.

Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.

Off-hour night/weekend coverage is sometimes required for urgent issues.

Ability to address high-pressure situations involving mass production quickly and safely.
