Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. These are exciting times in our space - we are growing fast, still at an early stage and working on ambitious new initiatives.The Cloud Developer and Tools Service team is seeking motivated, customer-focused Product Managers to help shape the future of Oracle's CI/CD and Developer tools product offerings. In this role you will be responsible for conceiving and developing new features for OCI DevOps Code Repositories. As a member of the product management team, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications, suggest and justify product directions and specifications. You will develop new concepts and definitions and synthesis of business requirements from internal and external stakeholders, write product specifications and drive project milestones from design to release. Other responsibilities include deep competitive analysis, writing and building competitive tests on different clouds, presenting and building demos for summit events and customer trainings, creating technical content and blogs for OCI. You will also work closely with engineering to resolve customer needs. The successful candidate will have a passion for solving difficult problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, a knack for creativity and innovative thinking, and a strong sense of empathy for both customers and engineering teams.This role will be located in Oracle's downtown Seattle or Redwood Shores offices.Key Responsibilities:· Identify, define and prioritize products and features· Drive product strategy and direction that translates into high value customer features· Represent product roadmap and strategy to customers and stakeholders· Work directly with key customers to understand their requirements and devise creative solutions to their problems· Write product definitions and user stories as an input to product design· Present to customers and partners, blog, build proof of concepts on top of our products, create samples of how to use product features, resolve customer issues.· Define, measure, and manage customer experience and business performance goals· Be an advocate for the customer through the product lifecycle· Hands on Knowledge of working with Developer Tools, CI/CD IDE, Code Repositories and Market including Gitbub, Butbucket etc.Minimum Qualifications:· BS in Computer Science or related discipline· 4+ Years development experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, Typescript· 4+ years of relevant hands-on experience in working with customers and with engineers to build products· knowledge of CI/CD, containers, functions and/or mobile development· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence others· Ability to define and shape the business strategy· Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously· Experience building road-maps, project/release plans with a strong understanding of dependency management· Strong experience driving the full product lifecycle, including defining and hitting success metrics, in a startup like atmospherePreferred Qualifications:· MBA or MS in a technical field· Experience in developing enterprise cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, Etc.)Detailed Description and Job RequirementsWork in a product team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of Cloud Developer and Tools Service (CDTS) Products as they move from conception to distribution. You will analyze and integrate external customer specifications and work with engineering to build products. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build demo’s and execute competitive tests. Review engineering plans to ensure they meet specifications. Communicate with engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.Work is non-routine and very complex, involving deep dives into development workflows, identifying and improving areas on areas of inefficiencies. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Ideal Candidate has 5 years of developer experience and 4 years of product management experience.
