UST is looking for Product Owner for PRO's Enterprise Applications team and seeking a Certified Scrum Product Owner to work with key project stakeholders to create and realize the Product Goal. They will be instrumental in ensuring the team and relevant stakeholders have a shared understanding of the work to be done.
This shared understanding is facilitated in a variety of ways including determining the overall vision of products, creating and managing backlog items, and deciding which features take priority for the team in collaboration with key stakeholders.
They'll research and determine the stakeholders' needs to determine which features to include next and will pitch ideas for product features to stakeholders.
Product Owners will then continue to act as the primary contact between the scrum team and stakeholders.
The Product Owner also works with the team to ensure requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification.
The Product Owner possesses sound foundational knowledge of the platforms and applications in Enterprise Applications, as well as the ability to communicate technical functionality to business users and vice versa.
They will work with the development team to ensure alignment with best practices and business strategy.
The qualified Product Owner will oversee the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the business stakeholders' needs and preferences.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities:
Defining the vision for the team's product
Creating a product road map based on this vision
Acts as a liaison between the business and the platform team
Understands stakeholder's business processes and anticipate their needs
Collaborating with prospective users and stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
Ensure the Development team and business stakeholders have a shared understanding of the requested features and desired business values and outcomes
Captures business and user requirements and creates corresponding User Stories
Ensures requirements are understood, developed, tested, and delivered to specification
Represents project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes
Works with the platform team to develop release estimates
Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting on product progress at each stage of the process
Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
Works with stakeholders to drive adoption
Provides consultative technical and/or business process leadership to the platform team
Works closely with the broader Enterprise Applications team, Learning & Development, Infrastructure, Information Security, and other PRO departments to ensure feature release activities are supported across the organization
Possesses knowledge of the Platform and applications and how they're used internally and can interpret and validate technical specifications and designs
Facilitate discovery workshops to gain business concepts, requirements, and alignment
Perform business process gap analyses to meet business unit's desired outcomes
Demonstrate iterations to customers (pre-release) and gather feedback and approval
Educate users on the new features by creating and/or contributing to release notes and feature overviews
Represents project stakeholders throughout planning, development, and release processes
Manages prioritization and tactical execution of assigned projects, features, and stories
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with a cross-functional project team
Stay current with new and forthcoming Platform and Application features/capabilities through training, SNUGs, webinars, etc.,
Tech Stack / Skills:
Proficient analysis skill and capability to identify downstream implications
Excellent ability to align business process and requirements with a technical implementation
Exceptional communicator, listener, speaker and writer
The ability to develop and forge strong relationships and build consensus among competing stakeholders
Experience spearheading cross-functional initiatives
Proficient with user story definition, acceptance criteria writing in addition to facilitating effective refinement sessions
Proven experience managing product backlogs
Trained and Certified Agile Professional strongly desired
Foundational platform understanding strongly desired
Experience:
2+ years in a ServiceNow in related role is required
3+ years overall experience with process tool development with 12+ years of IT experience
3+ years' experience as a Business Analyst
2+ years as a team lead
3+ years overall experience in a Product Owner role
Education:
Certified Scrum Product Owner
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant experience
