Your Opportunity

The Sr Digital Product Manager is central to one of Schwab's key initiatives, Modern Borrower Experience, and its vision of providing best-in-class lending by enabling products that can deliver a seamless client and advisor experience through their channel of choice, at their convenience. Charles Schwab's Banking Experiences team build key journeys and moments for millions of clients and/or their advisors who are engaged in building their wealth and managing their financial outcomes with brokerage, banking (deposits & lending) and trust capabilities. We work, think and approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm, and we drive to change both how Schwab operates and how the industry serves investors and advisors. We collaborate across user experience, bank, client service, operations and technology teams across the enterprise to build products clients love.

In this role, you will drive the creation, refinement, and evolution of targeted banking experiences based on client behavior and needs. We are looking for a product and customer champion to define and lead the implementation of the lending digital experience product roadmap. You will work alongside the team of channel, platform and product managers and technical partners to implement client focused solutions. A successful candidate requires ability to develop, drive and refine a clear long-term vision, robust plan, and catalyze results.

When executed well, it drives tangible near-term benefits for Schwab and our clients, including greater scale via increased usage of digital experiences, efficient handling, and optimized service experiences. This role also drives our long-term strategy through planning which considers quantification of value and use of data to prioritize Schwab's next generation of products and features. These results should be driven by knowing the process, desired client outcomes, and stakeholder needs.

The team is responsible for:

  • Client Focus - Developing a deep understanding, empathy and champion for the needs of clients, advisors, and Schwab employees across Retail and Advisor Services
  • Strategy - Setting ambitious and clear vision for end-to-end digital lending experiences
  • Execution - All aspects of technology product development including the definition, creation, development, implementation and experimentation through a prioritized backlog of product features
  • Partnership - Support integrated, matrixed teams in delivering seamless end-to-end experiences

What you are good at

  • You will be able to tie digital experience to robust E2E processes (operations, communications, etc.) which optimize for client/advisor OKRs
  • You will be responsible for the product vision and the technical execution for digital lending experiences for clients, advisors, and Schwab employees
  • You will create compelling the value of product roadmap and design by executive level communications, both verbal and written
  • You will translate the product vision into specific deliverables, and ensure rigor in execution and attention to detail by effectively managing the product feature backlog
  • You will use OKRs to drive results for our clients, firm and team
  • You will support iterative testing and ongoing improvement of the client experience
  • You will lead the generation of new ideas based on data, analytics, insights, market trends, and interactions with partners, clients and prospects
  • You will champion Agile methodologies, leading and participating in the product activities including daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, backlog prioritization, user story preparation and demos
  • You will work cross-functionally and horizontally with technical, design, business, operations and compliance counterparts to define product release requirements and issue management


What you have

  • 4+ years digital product leader with p rior experience in financial services, industrial engineering, management engineering, digital transformation, and/or consulting
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to formulate compelling vision and strategy and translate that to substantial roadmaps and results
  • Strong knowledge base and experience developing or leading digital experiences, coupled with knowledge of the underlying technology, both current and emerging
  • Good understanding and/or experience with lending products & services highly desired
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships across multiple levels of the organization
  • Highly developed communication and presentations skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to leadership teams
  • Skilled at working cross-functionally with technology, service, operations, marketing and product teams to lead the entire lifecycle of the experiences
  • Curiosity, a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple project deliverables with minimal direction
  • Bachelor's degree required, post graduate degree is a plus

Colorado Compensation

Target Total Compensation - 121,000 - 201,000
