AECOM is seeking a Structural Engineer to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. This includes being a part of the first-of-a-kind program with AECOM partners advancing the innovative stellarator technology to the world.https://aecom.com/press-releases/aecom-establishes-partnership-with-type-one-energy-to-provide-design-engineering-services-for-its-innovative-stellarator-fusion-power-plant-infinity-two/For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.The successful candidate will bring a solid foundational understanding of structural engineering design and core technology principles, with some hands-on experience supporting heavy industrial and power generation projects.The responsibilities of this role also include, but may not be limited to, the following:Perform engineering analyses and design under the direct supervision of experienced and licensed professional engineersProvide engineering support for multi-discipline design projects from work scope development until the completion of constructionEvaluate and apply applicable building code requirements and design code requirements (e.g. IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)Travel to project site and meetings as needed.Uses computer software as a tool for solving structural engineering problems including building 3D analytical structural modelsAssist with productions of drawing and documentsDevelop technical specifications, plans, and detailsDCS—EnergyAECOM’s Energy practice provides a wide range of services from consulting and engineering design to energy engineering, energy procurement and construction (EPC) for power, energy efficiency, and renewable energy clients.
