Sells and plans all event logistics with ROI and guest service in mind. Ensure that all events are executed with consistent and high level service throughout the entire process. Clear communication and coordination with culinary and operation departments as well as the client. Owner of the successful production of all events. Prepares and maintains all sales and event documentation. Proactively recognizes opportunities up-sell and to improve the customer's experience. Produces monthly reports tracking revenue and projections. Sales and Event experience preferred

TASKS

-Responsible for prospecting and closing new business.

-Oversees the sales efforts for all private events and catering.

-Handles both the sales and operational side of events.

-Manages P&L for events.

-Manage all banquet staff and ops event staff.

-Partner with management team to achieve restaurant revenue and operations goals.

-Proactive solicitation of outside sales, with emphasis on closing new business

-Achieve monthly booking goals.

-Coordinates and communicates verbally and in writing with the guest and unit operation teams the details of an event. Attains and provides Post-event feedback to the guest.

-Acts as liaison between guest and unit operations through the event process (Sales phase, pre-event and post-event phases).

-Makes presence known to the customer through the entire event process. Is available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives to previous arrangements.

-Proactively identifies operational challenges associated with his/her group and works with the unit staff and customer to solve these challenges and/or develop alternative solutions.

-Is accountable for his/her customers' experiences from sales phase through the post event phase.

-Greets guest during the event phase and hands off to operations for the execution of details.

-Handles guest site inspections during the sales phase.

-Leads pre-event and post-event meetings for their groups.

-Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.

-Manages meeting space of bookings, with understanding of set up and tear-down requirements.

-Responsible for his/her customer satisfaction.

-Has the ability to accurately forecast bookings event revenue (Food, Beverage & Miscellaneous Revenues).

-Has a team player and can do attitude.

SKILLS:

-Proven record in sales and solicitation in the food & beverage industry.

-Understands catering forecasting.

-Ability to manage event space inventories.

-Strong familiarity in menu planning, food presentation, wine knowledge and banquet service standards

-Understanding of facility management as it relates to sanitation, maintenance, and operations

-Technical aptitude in the Gather booking software preferred, or similar computerized booking system

-Experience with using Aloha Point of Sale system a plus.

-Ability to manage customer budgets -Familiarity and knowledge of areas within the unit/operation

-Effective communication and meeting skills

-Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized manner

-Manages conflict situations effectively

-Manages time well

-Operational knowledge - understands operational challenges

-Strong familiarity in designing, up-selling and executing outstanding catered events of various sizes and complexity

-Knowledge of and experience in providing world class customer service

-Knowledge of and ability to integrate current trends in Event & Catering Management

-Understands the Event & Catering revenue strategy
