Strong expertise in web architecture and design with modern JavaScript frameworks and tools (Vue.js, ES6, node.js, React).
Experience with implementing and maintaining CMS applications (Umbraco preferred).
Experience with design and implementation of responsive web and mobile application interfaces.
Familiarity with application development and event-driven navigation utilizing JSON/XML.
Ability to test and debug web and mobile applications across multiple browser tools.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Department requires the services of 1 Frontend Developer, hereafter referred to as Candidate(s), who meets the general qualifications of Systems Analyst V Category, Core Technology Type and the specifications outlined in this document for the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
Work in collaboration with lead frontend developer to achieve design styling for web applications (40%)
Work closely with product, content, marketing and data research teams to determine technical requirements and effort needed for frontend development for a wide range of website and web application projects. (30%)
Employ web design sensibility that leverages content management systems and utilizes common design patterns and best practices. (10%)
Understand business objectives in order to build quality interfaces and integrations to meet the requirements. (10%)
Continuously enhance technical skills related to frontend development as well as deployment and testing in the cloud (AWS/Azure). (5%)
Evaluate emerging technologies and practices along with making recommendations that would contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of frontend development for Texas On Course. (5%).
