Want to be part of an amazing, fast growing, privately held company in Georgetown? CC Aggregates is looking for a professional, experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic immediately. CC Aggregates is a crushed limestone quarry providing material to job sites all over Central Texas.
The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of complex equipment, rock crushers, tools, and vehicles involving mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, pneumatic and electrical systems. You will be operating from a fully-rigged service truck and inspecting/repairing machinery all over the quarry, but mainly in the pit.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: TRAINED/EXPERIENCED APPLICANTS ONLY!
- 5+ years of experience as a heavy equipment/diesel mechanic, preferably in a surface mine environment
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems and successfully repair the equipment.
- Service/change conveyor belts, monitor components on crushing equipment as well as heavy mobile equipment.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices
- Document all machine information (make, model, serial #, equipment #, odo/hrs, etc)
- Requires the ability to lift, push or pull and move up to 70 pounds and must be capable of climbing, kneeling, twisting and bending in a varied environment
- Must be dependable and report to work on time Mon -Sat
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, inspectors, contractors, supervisors, and yard personnel
- Must exhibit a high level of safety consciousness and a clear understanding of equipment safety
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Must maintain satisfactory driving record at all times!
- Must understand and speak fluent English! BI-LINGUAL Helpful!
