Small but growing boarding and training facility looking for reliable, responsible, but fun person to join our team as a kennel tech. Our facility is located on a 43 acre ranch in South Bastrop near Rockne (FM535/Hwy 20 intersection). We are seeking someone who loves dogs of all breed and temperaments, is patient, and loves the outdoors!
Currently looking for 1 PT employee.
Major duties include deep cleaning, walking, feeding, medicating, and minor grooming of dogs in our care as well as rescue dogs. Owners live on site, so sometimes additional help with personal dogs or other farm animals will be necessary. Willingness to take part in other aspects of the ranch welcomed and encouraged, but primary duties will be related to the dogs.
Manditory shifts are 8-1 Saturday, & 8-5 on Sunday. Would also prefer availability on Monday and Tuesday evenings and possible extra fill in hours during the week, but this is not a requirement.
Must also have availability for holidays as these are peak times.
This position has the possibility of becoming FT for the right person.
Position is self-directed/supervised so you MUST be able to perform all duties without regular supervision. Ability to follow instructions is extremely important. Being able to complete a list of daily tasks on your own is essential as well as the ability to take initiative to complete tasks that are not specifically assigned when your normal duties are done.
Job does require exceptional cleanliness as well as organizational skills in addition to being able to work with and around animals almost 100% of the time. Job requires you to be on your feet and active during the entire shift and does require work outdoors.
Starting pay is DOE.
