Our client located in Austin is growing their presence in Central Texas and has an immediate need for a Project Manager.The primary deliverable of this position will be the successful completion of all work in assigned areas as noted below: Create, update and maintain a variety of project controls that track the status of: individual projects or task orders, changes to projects or task orders, RFI, shop drawings and submittals, matters involving quality controls, safety, financial performance, close-out and other aspects of the project(s) or task order(s) Work with subject matter experts to create, review and process shop drawings and other submittals that are required to document the construction process Assist in establishing, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules utilizing scheduling software Manage or support the management processes by updating logs, routing source documents to vendors, obtaining pricing, writing change orders and other related activities Support the process of negotiating contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders including tracking materials delivery status to ensure timely arrival Proactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutions Assist in ensuring that all aspects of the project are compliant with all contract terms and legal requirements that govern the project and the community in which the project(s) takes place Establish and maintain relationships with the owner, design professionals, building officials, local businesses, and emergency support Provide timely and cordial interaction with supporting work groups, such as accounting, HR, ICS, etc. Participate in management activities that are related to project closeout to ensure timely completion Assist in tracking and submitting construction billings and cost codes including reviewing and coding invoices for payment Assist in ensuring adherence to project deadlinesQualifications BS degree in Construction Science or Engineering degree (including civil, construction, mechanical) 4-15 years in Commercial construction with a high preference for Multifamily experience Currently serving in a PM role. Good work stability (NO JOB HOPPERS) and track record on delivering projects on time and budgetIdeal candidates will have experience working Multifamily Construction or at a minimum, Commercial construction experience
