JOB SUMMARY:

The Youth Recovery Community (YRC) Team Leader will support the success of the YRC team and YRC Program. This role will be responsible for providing support to YRC team members, direct services to youth and families and expanding the reach of the YRC into the community. YRC Team Lead will provide YRC team members with a foundation for appropriate work ethic, communication skills, job role expectations, and supporting the Cenikor’ s continuum of care, mission, and values. The YRC Lead will work with the YRC Manager to carry out these responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The YRC Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of the YRC Program and provide support for the success of the YRC team members.

Work with the YRC Manager to provide training to new YRC team members.

Provide oversight for team members with documentation including attendance sheets for groups, wellness plans, family contracts and other documents to be used by the YRC team.

Become proficient in the Clinical Management Behavioral Health System (CMBHS)

Prepare Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) monthly and quarterly reports as required by HHSC and Cenikor Leadership.

Preform a monthly YRC audit to ensure all documentation is current and accurate.

Establish Memorandum of Understanding with community and social service agencies serving or having interest in youth recovery support services. MOUS should encourage networking, coordination, and referrals to help address needs of participants, their families, and supportive allies.

Review YRC team members training files on a monthly basis.

Provide continuing education opportunities for YRC team with the assistance of the YRC Manager through in-house trainings, or external trainings.

Facilitate weekly YRC team meetings to discuss YRC participants, community meetings, pending partnerships, and participate in team meetings with other Cenikor YRC locations.

Participate in weekly meetings with YRC Manager and other YRC Team Leads.

Direct services including facilitating groups, individual sessions, outreach events and other YRC events.

Be able to handle crisis situations with team members, youth, or family members in a professional manner and provide resources as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to be flexible while remaining highly organized.

Ability to work within a team setting, as well as independently.

Submit YRC documentation in a timely manner.

Ability to plan and implement required Cenikor or HHSC reports, and documentation with fidelity.

Possess good time management skills needed to meet aggressive deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.

Proficiency in Microsoft office, with above average skills in TEAMS, Zoom, Microsoft 365 and other required software.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience:

Working with youth, preferably in a recovery setting

Experience facilitating youth/family groups and individual peer recovery coach sessions.

Experience with addiction recovery, including multiple pathways to recovery and peer recovery support services.

Lived experience with addiction recovery or family recovery issues preferred.

Fluent in Spanish preferred

License:

Recovery Support Peer Specialist. or Peer Recovery Peer Specialist preferred

LCDC or LCD-I preferred

Valid Driver’s License required
