Opportunity Summary:
The Director of Information Systems will plan, coordinate, and direct computer-related activities by determining the technology needs of the company and making hardware and software related decisions to meet those needs. Reporting to the Company President this position will have responsibility for IT policies, strategies, and standards for operations in US, Canada, and Mexico. Duties and Responsibilities:
Establish IT policies, strategies, and standards for operations in US, Canada, and Mexico
Manage and direct the US IT team and support daily business and operations in Canada and Mexico
Develop and implement technology roadmap to support business initiatives in IIoT, cloud based customer service, process automation and system integration in all functional areas
Identify opportunities to improve IT operation efficiency and minimize risks
Develop goals and objectives for IT team members to support daily operation and future needs
Develop and manage annual budgets to support business and operation
Oversees the administration and maintenance of the company's IT environment and assets, including:
Infrastructure (servers, switches, routers, and SAN)
Network and security (SD-WAN, LAN, active directory, and firewall)
Applications (Citrix, SAP, Exchange, and VMware)
SAP: application change management and approves release to production
Telephone system, cell phone system and associated contracts
Manage local, long distance and SIP telephony contracts
Engineering software and applications (Catia, Solidworks, 3DExperience, and Smarteam)
Digital Content Platforms (eCommerce, Website - WordPress CMS)
Oversees troubleshooting, systems backups, archiving, and disaster recovery and provides support when necessary
Help desk (IssueTrak)
Oversee information risk management
Negotiate and maintain IT related service contracts, software licenses, supervise hardware and software purchases for operations in US, Canada, and Mexico
Support corporate IT initiatives and system integration
Other responsibilities, projects and duties as required
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Programming (required), master's degree (preferred), or related field required
Minimum of 10 years related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and training
Minimum of 5 years previous experience managing complex projects and IT staff
US citizenship is required for work on government contracts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Thorough understanding of CIS Leadership Principles, programs, policies, activities, and procedures
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize work
Ability to explain technical problems and offer solutions to those without technological training
