GIS SoftwareTest Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Pay: $24 an hour
open contract on W2
Targeted Start Date: April 4th
Type: Full-time; 40 hours/week M-F
The GIS Software Test Analyst will play a key role in helping the Maps evaluation team to assess the quality of the maps consumer experience. This hire will be responsible for owning one or more functions of data and service test triage. This role demands a keen eye for detail, and the ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to help uncover the root cause of any observed anomaly. The Analyst will periodically compile progress reports based on a few pre-determined key performance indicators (KPIs), and share those findings with the wider organization through the team supervisor.
Requirements:
-Bachelors or Master's Degree in Geography, GIS, or any equivalent field
-2-5 years' experience in data QA and/or GIS analysis Highly organized and analytical
-Excellent written and verbal communication
-Prior work in with (MacBook, iPhone, iPad)
Preferred skills and attributes:
-Experience working in a fast-paced technology environment
-Experience running processes via command line or Linux bash shell
-A foundational understanding of statistics
-A high level of Geographic literacy
-Ability to pinpoint flaws/weakness and improvement/strength in an abstract test plan
-A detail oriented mindset and the ability to crack a problem with deep research
-Ability to achieve performance standards while meeting tight deadlines
