New Iron is helping recruit a Sr Test Engineer to join an innovative, well funded, rapidly growing Fintech organization.
This is a direct-hire position located in Austin,TX. Priority will be candidates located in Austin or open to relocation.
The ideal candidate will enjoy, excel at, be comfortable with:
the post proof of concept productization + commercialization phase
helping drive QA best practices and process improvements to ensure product development runs smoothly

The focus will be on design, architecture, and strategy to support a new engineering team being built out in Austin.

Job Functions, may include:
Create, maintain and execute automated test suites to ensure the software meets requirements and expectations of the customer and stakeholders
Continuously improve teams, products, and processes
Evaluate "Proof of Concepts" based on Long Term Architecture
Execute on the regression library, and advocate automation when necessary
Follow the testing plan and overall QA strategy
Perform QA testing to ensure the product meets stated requirements and expectations
Foster an Agile engineering culture and best practices to better customer experience
Should have:
5+ years working in automated and manual test development
Experience with one or more programming languages e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java
Experience building test automation systems like Selenium, Robot Framework
Expertise in manual/automation architecture, processes, and tools
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to maintain test suites
Experience with TDD
Experience in Agile Environment including CI/CD

Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field
