A growing and reputable local home service company covering Williamson and Travis counties is looking for reliable and experienced carpenters and handymen. A strong set of trade skills is required, but qualities of remarkable integrity, excellent customer service, attention to detail, and pride in a job well done are even more important. Must be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with customers. Commercial building maintenance experience is a plus. Work is available immediately for the right persons.
Requirements:
- 10 year minimum experience in home improvement in several of the following areas - siding, painting, drywall, bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, cabinets, minor roofing and floor installation and repair, basic plumbing and electrical, ceiling fans, light fixtures, appliance repair, sprinkler systems, basic landscaping. Not all skills are required, but the more the better!
- Willingness to take direction and learn from constructive criticism
- Ability to communicate with manager and customer as often as required.
- Demonstrate an understanding of how managing costs affects profitability, but not at the risk of customer satisfaction
- Desire to learn new skills
- Have a minimum of three professional references
- Be able to pass criminal background check and drug test
- Valid driver's license, dependable vehicle and insurance
- Must own basic carpentry tools
- Cell phone and access to read and print email
- Ability to print and read Google Maps or other digital map service
- Capable of uploading and sending photos via email or text with a digital camera, cell phone or other digital device
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
Employment is subject to passing a background and drug test. Begins as part time and can grow quickly into a full time position, subject to your performance and our business needs.
