Safety and Loss Prevention Specialist(Must be local to Beaumont or surround area)Kelly's OCG team has a current opening for a Safety and Loss Prevention Specialist to oversee safety and loss prevention on a team of our Refinery Field Samplers at a Fortune 500 refinery on Beaumont, TX. The ideal candidate would be experienced in a industrial loss prevention setting or safety role.This is direct role with benefits.DUTIESResponsible for safety program activism throughout the KellyOCG programResponsible for safety adherence of the KellyOCG programResponsible for inventory control for the Service crew - ordering supplies, ensuring chemical safety compliance, ensuring shipment receiptsResponsible to take part in safety and housekeeping auditsResponsible for presenting at safety meetings to the team - presentations can last 30 minutes to an hour depending on training requiredCoordinate OSHA Injury Record keeping RequirementsConduct Accident and Incident InvestigationsConduct company safety orientation training programsCoordinate weekly toolbox safety talksConduct daily site inspections of work practices and conditionsKeep the Contracting Company informed on compliance with new and existing laws and regulationsReporting incidents to client safety Department immediatelyAttending Weekly/Monthly Safety Committee MeetingsREQUIREMENTSCommunications skills: You must keep your supervisors informed of your activities, as well as interact with employees.Calm demeanor: You must be able to deal with people who might become defensive when being asked if they are doing it correctly.Observation skills: A major component of the job involves watching, identifying behaviors, and taking appropriate actions with regards to following safety and work procedures.Previous experience a huge plus.
