Ron Blank & Associates is seeking a Continuing Education Development Specialist to assist our Continuing Education team with developing continuing education courses for architects, engineers, and other design professionals. This position will support the CE team’s mission to create engaging and effective content that helps A/E/C professionals maintain their credentials while staying current on building technologies and innovations. The CE Development Specialist will report in-person to our office in San Antonio, TX.

For over 35 years, Ron Blank & Associates has provided easily accessible continuing education to design professionals around the world. RBA and its sister companies GreenCE, InfoSpec, CE Academy, and Elixir Environmental have helped bridge the gap between design professionals and building product manufacturers, getting design professionals the knowledge they need and helping product manufacturers get their products specified.

Position Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with external clients, subject matter experts, and CE team members on course content, learning objectives, and delivery methods

· Produce educational courses that incorporate sound instructional design theory to be used by architects and other design professionals

· Translate and condense technical concepts into an easy-to-understand format for a wide audience

· Effectively research topics for each course and provide content source references

· Design effective and engaging presentations for in-person, virtual, and e-learning courses

· Receive and apply constructive criticism from clients, Subject Matter Experts, and team members to meet client needs and produce quality content

· Assist in project flow by providing regular progress updates to team members and clients

· Support the CE team by formatting, animating, uploading, and registering courses as needed

· Help update existing courses to ensure relevance, effectiveness, and functionality

· Keep up to date on instructional design research and technology in order to create modern, theoretically sound educational courses

Basic Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, English, Communication, Education, or other related fields

· At least 2-5 years of experience utilizing Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint

· At least 2-3 years of experience applying adult learning theory, ADDIE, and other instructional design methods

· Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet project deadlines and course requirements

· Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients

Preferred Qualifications:

· A degree in Instructional Design, English, Communication, Education, or other related fields

· Experience working with architects, engineers, contractors, and/or building product manufacturers. At least a basic knowledge of the A/E/C industry will help give context to the topics being researched and developed.

· Experience with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Rise or Adobe Captivate, as well as Google Fonts, Google Templates or similar and Adobe fonts, Adobe PDF, etc. (Being able to extract content, fonts, images, graphics from client PDFs is a huge help)
