JOB SUMMARYThe PRN/PT Nurse Practitioner of HTPN evaluates, plans, and provides care for patients in consultation with and under the direct supervision of the attending Physician, performs clinical procedures according to approved protocols, initiates and changes orders for tests and patient care based on the condition of the patient and Physician approval. The Nurse Practitioner of HTPN develops and maintains active practice in facilities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEThe PRN/PT Nurse Practitioner of HTPN performs advanced clinical procedures in emergency situations and initiates orders for routine laboratory, radiologic, and diagnostic examinations. The Nurse Practitioner of HTPN particiates in Continuing Medical Education Programs and provides educational programs for nursing staff and other personnel.KEY SUCCESS FACTORSThe ideal candidate must have knowledge of advanced clinical procedures, information and techniques needed to provide proper patient care based on the condition of the patient. The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal, written, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, computer and related software application skills, and have the ability to follow under the direction of the attending Physician.
