For more information, please visit us at www.xylem.comIf you are excited and passionate about helping us solve water, we want to hear from you!The Role: Xylem seeks to hire a Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer who will be a key contributor to the Manufacturing Operations team focusing on methods related to the most efficient utilization of personnel, material, and equipment. This position will work within the Manufacturing Operations organization and cross functionally across organizations to meet production schedules and maximize internal and external customer satisfaction.Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

Work both within the Manufacturing Operations organization and cross functionally across organizations (Sourcing, Purchasing, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Service) to meet production schedules and maximize internal and external customer satisfaction.

Analyze processes and justify capital equipment purchases and options

Perform time studies, maintain ERP data, and establish production rates for direct and indirect labor operations.

Develop and implement plant layouts and re-layout activities

Identify and aggressively manage and implement cost savings initiatives

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Power point and Outlook

Working knowledge of CAD software

Apply problem solving skills to champion continuous improvement in work processes

Encourage involvement and engage work force in improvement projects (product, process, safety…)

Ensure processes satisfy internal production, safety, ISO, and quality goals and procedures set by management

Use computer assisted engineering and design software to review product schematics, drawings, and processes

Interface with design and manufacturing team to optimize current and future products and processes

Develop and maintain key performance indicators, and CTQ (Critical to Quality) product and process characteristics

Perform process/product capability studies as required to ensure reliability/maintainability of processes.

Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:

Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

0-2 years’ experience with RF and/or analog and digital electronic/embedded design

Some exposure to common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and frequency analyzers is also highly desired

Solid understanding of analog and digital circuitry

Ability to communicate effectively in writing, orally with both local and remote sites

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of engineers to meet aggressive goals and high quality standards

Demonstrated experience working with cross functional teams

Ability to interpret and develop process flow diagrams, system schematics, process and maintenance procedures and other relevant documentation.

Excellent demonstrated organizational skills and a focus on timely delivery of specified deliverables’ goals and objectives

Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and ability and willingness to multitask and prioritize projects given multiple opportunities

Knowledge and training in Six Sigma, Lean Enterprise and Time/Motion study principles is essential
