JOB SUMMARY

The Floor Technician is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping, waxing, buffing, extraction, bonneting and 5x) areas that include offices, lobbies, entrances, stairwells and other public areas of Miramont Country Club and Momentum Plaza. In addition, the Floor Technician assists the Overnight Housekeeping team where needed to provide a high standard of cleanliness through the Club and Plaza. Must be able to follow and complete a checklist of tasks based on an eight hour day in accordance to Company standards.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

-Clean assigned areas quickly, neatly, and efficiently.

-Ensure that all public areas; locker rooms, suites, meeting spaces, restrooms, and offices are clean.

-Maintain a neat and clean cart, equipment, storage rooms, and supplies.

-Maintain and perform functions of the laundry; folding linens, separating linens, loading washer/ dryer, and pressing linens.

-Perform the functions of turndown; turndown occupied rooms, clean assigned areas, perform laundry functions close housekeeping.

-Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards guests and staff.

-Maintain a clean and professional appearance.

-Respect all equipment and property of the club and use with care to avoid unnecessary damage.

-Document any deficiencies, including mechanical and electrical problems from the areas you clean and report to Management.

-Label and submit all lost and found items to the Receptionist, Clubhouse Monitor, or Management.

-Knowledge and use of specialized power equipment used to clean and maintain various types of flooring.

-Perform preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use.

-Post safety notices for other areas of the space prior to beginning work.

-Routine mopping, buffing, burnishing.

-Vacuuming, bonneting, and extracting carpets and upholstery.

-Maintenance of floor care equipment.

-Complete all other duties assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

-High School Diploma or equivalent.

-Minimum of one year floor care experience.

-Good attitude.

-Highly motivated.

-Good communication skills.

-Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

-Ability to stand on feet for extended period of time.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to handle or feel. The employee is required to sit and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The employee must have the ability to multi-task and complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
