Shop Supervisor
Big Creek Construction is looking for a Shop Supervisor for the Caldwell Shop. This person will be a self-starter and interested in helping improve the company and its fleet. This person will assist with the entire fleet of equipment and Heavy Diesel Vehicles at the Caldwell Shop.
Responsibilities include but are NOT limited to:
Select and assign staff, ensuring Equal Employment Opportunity in hiring and promotion
Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of
subordinate employees.
Ensure proper right-to-know and other OSHA regulations are followed for the safety of all employees
Diagnoses difficult problems and recommends repairs.
Inspects, tests, and adjusts equipment
Assist in maintaining a fleet of gas, diesel vehicles and large heavy equipment
Assist in maintaining hydraulic equipment
Assist with purchasing of necessary parts for vehicle/equipment maintenance
Assist with maintaining vehicle/equipment files and documentation
Qualifications
Experience in heavy-duty engine repair and rebuilds
Ability to instruct and supervise the disassembly and assembly of engines and parts
Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally and in writing REQUIRED
Computer literate and Microsoft Office REQUIRED
Hold a Valid Texas Driver License REQUIRED (CDL License a PLUS)
Minimum of (5) years related experience (or equivalent combination of related education & experience)
Experience with DOT vehicle inspections REQUIRED
Physical Demands
This position requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to
75 pounds
Standard REQUIREMENTS
Pass a fit for Work Physical
Pass a Drug and Alcohol Text
No more than 2 moving violations in a 3 year period
