We are Fused Industries, LLC, a commercial construction company based in Houston, TX. Through our Disaster Recovery Division, we have a local presence in multiple storm impacted locations in the Southern and Eastern United States working with federal and state funded residential restoration and renovation programs. The programs include residential reconstruction and/or residential renovations ranging in scope from minor wall repair and paint to extensive renovation including structural and complete system replacements (ie HVAC, electrical).

We are actively seeking a professional Construction Superintendent to join our Disaster Recovery Division team in the Corpus Christi, TX and surrounding area. The Superintendent will be responsible for: managing all day-to-day construction operations for residential renovation and new construction projects within budget and on time; ensuring adherence to quality standards and workplace safety; contributing as a technically skilled construction craftsmen as needed; and effectively communicating with, supervising and building relationships with all general contractors, subcontractors, specialty vendors, and other Fused team members.

Specific duties include:

Learning, administering and ensuring adherence to program and contractual specifications and guidelines

Reading, understanding, interpreting architectural and/or structural drawings/plans

Preparing material take-offs based on architectural and/or structural drawings/plans and other specifications/requirements

Conducting initial project walk throughs to review/verify/establish project scope of work

Managing the daily work plan for assigned houses including, scheduling all contractors and other vendors and ensuring all work is completed on-time, within budget and to program requirements and specifications

Identifying construction progress and/or scope of work issues requiring requests for information and/or change order requests

Preparing and managing necessary contract change orders

Scheduling and/or ensuring all necessary inspections/permits throughout the construction process are completed in a timely manner

Performing field measurement and scope of work review to ensure building standards are met, and contractor work, material supply, and invoices are accurate

Ensuring safety requirements and standards are adhered to at all times

Establishing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all subcontractors, including setting clear expectations upfront including adherence to job scopes of work, frequent and open communication, and co-inspection of services performed

Attending daily/weekly project and team meetings

Preparing and submitting required requests for expenditures and expense reports according to company policies

Skills and Requirements

2 or 4 year degree preferred in Construction Management or other Construction Trade

Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in residential construction

Excellent team, communication, and relationship-building skills

Ability to manage multiple demands, priorities and projects at one time

Attention to detail and strong project management and organizational skills

Works well under pressure and adheres to timelines without sacrificing safety or quality

Ability to delegate and follow-up on tasks with contractors and other vendors working on-site.

Proficient with Microsoft Office tools and other computer software

Exceptional customer service skills
