Fishing and Hunting Lodge Chef Position
Baffin Bay Rod and Gun, an Orvis Endorsed fly fishing and wing shooting lodge on the South Texas Coast, is seeking a great spirited and creative Chef for a small but busy and growing lodge.
Baffin Bay is located between the legendary King Ranch and the Kenedy Ranch and has some of the most spectacular fishing and hunting available all year-round.
The chef must love to work in an "open" kitchen environment, with client interaction, serving great meals utilizing all methods of cooking. The chef will enjoy lots of creative latitude, including menu development, while preparing dinner for between 2 and 30 guests.
Baffin Bay Rod and Gun is looking for a versatile chef to join our enthusiastic team! Duties to include:
Preparing dinner, planning breakfast and lunch
Management of other kitchen employees
Planning, costing, inventory and ordering products
Menu development
Cost control and budget creation
Well equipped, open kitchen - good personality a must
Lots of creative latitude
3+ years of experience
The position of Chef is a key, full-time position.
