Bach To Rock (“B2R”) America’s Music School for students of all ages is currently seeking a full-time School Director to lead all aspects of successful music school operations. This person must have a deep-rooted passion to deliver music education that embodies the mission and vision of the school, making the experience for all nothing less than inspiring. B2R is results-focused, people-oriented, with a strong performance culture, which are critical components to the success of the school.

Bach to Rock provides its students a well-balanced music education. By teaching theory and technique using music that students know and love, B2R develops musicians of all ages who enjoy performing, recording in our studio, and even composing original music. B2R provides an opportunity to work in a fun yet professional environment with musicians.

The School Director role is a leadership role and a multi-functional position, includes Sales, Staff Management, Administration, Marketing and Facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide an exceptional music education experience for students delivering strong engagement with each child and maximizing student enrollment

Relationship management of existing customer base to include parents, students, and the community

Provide a top-quality customer service experience, including billing, schedule management and communication.

Deliver an excellent music education program including the recruitment of exceptional music teachers and identifying iconic music venues

Manage all levels of sales and promotions to drive school and student success including generating prospects, identifying and developing new sale opportunities through current client base or other qualified leads

Plan, manage and oversee successful show/band/event production providing students with inspirational performance opportunities

Manage staff job performance and school facility to provide a safe, cool, and appropriate experience for all students and school employees

Financial management of the school including but not limited to analyzing results, tracking budgets, time-tracking, and scheduling.

Education and Experience

Successful experience as a senior-level administrator, rooted in a knowledge of best practices within leadership, sales, program and project management, community engagement, staff development, financial oversight and budgeting

A keen understanding of the area’s arts and culture, local leaders, and the philanthropic community

Must be a collaborator who works well across diverse populations, with our youth and those of all ages, and who exudes a strong work ethic and integrity

Proven sales and customer-service experience in a retail or educational environment

Demonstrated skills and experience with marketing and communications

Experience with Event Planning preferred

Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred (i.e. business, management, music, etc.)

Skills

Must be proficient in English speaking and writing skills; additional languages are desirable but not required

Proficiency with MS Office

Hands-on experience using time-tracking systems for reporting of hours and scheduling

Basic financial/accounting/budgeting skills required

Physical Demands

The physical demands listed here are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Under the ADA, reasonable accommodations may be made.

Must be able to work during core business hours; the ability to work beyond 40 hours in a workweek will be required and includes evenings and weekends.

Must be able to lift and move equipment typically associated with B2R’s day-to-day operation, e.g., amplifiers, keyboards, recording equipment, light furniture, etc. upwards of 50 lbs.

Harmony Gateway is the online system used by B2R to register students and instructors for classes and events. It also generates accounting entries and keeps track of instructor hours worked.
