job summary:

A financial services company providing innovative lending and liquidity products to individual and institutional investors in alternative assets is seeking an experienced Quant Engineering Analyst. This individual must have experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, and Python experience. This position requires two days in office.

responsibilities:

Essential Functions:


- Build classes for pricing and risk models, including lifecycle event modeling for cash flow evolution.


- Build web applications using Dash for the risk team and for end users to easily access and drill down on data through customizable reports.


- Help refine low-friction SDLC that meets audit requirements while ensuring speedy time-to-market.


- Build systems for monitoring data accuracy through automated data validations.


- Help refine testing platform and user acceptance tests on models and data sets, with a built-in escalation workflow for failing tests.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:


- 1 to 5 years of experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design, preferably in finance industry.


- Highly motivated, well organized, detail-oriented, and result-driven professional with multi-tasking skills and problem-solving abilities


- Balance, technical skills, analytical mindset yet commercially focused.


- Team player with the social skills and personality required to participate in large team efforts.


- Self-starter/learner who embraces agile development methodology and open source frameworks and excels in a fast-paced work environment.

Required Qualifications:


- BSc in STEM field.


- 2+ years' Python work experience.


- 1+ years' web GUI application development work experience, preferably using Dash.


- 1+ years' SQL work experience.


- Excellent Object-Oriented programming experience and understanding.

Preferred Qualifications:


- Prior experience at renowned investment or financial service group


- Agile methodology


- Docker and Kubernetes


- AWS (EKS, ECR, etc.)


- BitBucket Pipelines


- Git


- RESTful API


- Linux


- CSS
