If you want to contribute to the industry in an impactful way, join our team!Your OpportunityStantec’s Water practice is seeking a highly motivated leader to join our rapidly growing team in Oklahoma and Texas and help deliver and win projects in a multi-disciplinary team environment for major water infrastructure. This is a senior-level position that will use their industry knowledge, client relationships and technical expertise to assist in setting the vision and strategic direction of our water practice in Oklahoma.The Oklahoma Water Business Center Sector Leader is a seller-doer role involving identifying, developing, pursuing and winning opportunities with new and existing clients to grow our business, as well as leadership in the execution and delivery of technically complex water infrastructure projects from concept through construction. The successful candidate will be someone with strong leadership and communication skills, market knowledge, successful history of project delivery, client relations, and business acumen.Your Key Responsibilities
Work in a manner to protect the health and safety of Stantec employees, clients and the public by following company health, safety and security guidelines and policies
Provide high level project management, leadership, and delivery oversight for on-going water projects throughout the US, with a focus in Oklahoma
Prepare scopes of work, cost and project estimates, job budgets, and schedules for projects. Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work
Maintain and enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies and industry professionals as an outstanding service provider
Maintain consistently high standards of delivery, quality, flexibility, and innovation
Lead people by coaching and mentoring to achieve business and performance goals
Contribute to the development of an Oklahoma business strategy and support in setting the vision and direction of the water practice
Lead and implement business development strategies for key clients and strategic pursuits.
Develop long-lasting partnerships with our clients and understand our client's needs to facilitate full-service offerings
Develop an annual business plan and account management plans for key clients and maintain accountability to the execution of strategic initiatives Leadership and involvement in related professional societies, including preparation and presentation of papers at professional society conferences and seminars
Talent recruitment and development
Ability to travel as needed to fill role responsibilities

Your Capabilities and Credentials
Market knowledge in Oklahoma and demonstrated understanding of water infrastructure projects
Demonstrated ability to lead complex water infrastructure projects with an emphasis on technical and project delivery excellence and managing team relationships across a number of locations, disciplines, and experience levels
Strong business development skills with an entrepreneurial orientation, including experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with clients
Demonstrated business development success in responding to Requests for Qualifications, Requests for Proposals and Statements of Qualifications for water projects
Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation
Ability to check the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manage time to meet project budget and schedule
Ability to lead project teams, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues and solutions to others
Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to conduct effective client and agency presentations and written technical report preparation, as well as effective skills working in diverse team environments with staff, clients, and stakeholders
Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Project)
