DescriptionFor our local Dallas clients, seeking senior accountants. Qualified candidates will provide general accounting focus with significant responsibility in monthly close process, preparation of associated journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis. The Senior Accountant will be tasked with continuous improvements of processes and procedures, in order to improve efficiency of all departmental products. Strong emphasis in GAAP accounting is required.The candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is hard-working, independent, and a quick learner. The core responsibilities of this position include: Assist with maintaining and/or reconciling other balance sheet and income statement accounts, preparing and uploading journal entries, and analysis as needed Create and produce a variety of value-add analytical reports Prepare monthly expense analysis and account reconciliations Support month-end and year-end closeFor consideration please apply. Thank you.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting 5 plus years in Accounting Good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP} and able to put them into practice Ability to balance multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently Ability to be flexible with work schedule when required, work well within and outside of the department and participate in a team environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and experience working with other departments Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the company Effective team player with demonstrated work ethic and a strong initiative to succeed Demonstrate understanding of assigned processes and ability to identify process improvements Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective team player with demonstrated work ethic and a strong initiative to succeedSoft Skills Requirements: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (importing & exporting data, using V-Lookup, Pivot tables, and other comparable Excel function, configuring formats, transferring large data sets, etc.) Microsoft Office, Ability to learn a new system Experience with top tier ERP system preferred For consideration please apply.
