Job Description Summary

• The IT Sr. Strategic Business Partner provides partnership, direction and guidance to the Client Global Procurement business community to ensure that business goals are met through the effective provision of technology solutions and services.
• The Business Partner (BP) engages with the key stakeholders in the global procurement organization to develop and agree medium to long term strategic plans and capability roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Client objectives.
• Acts as the trusted business advisor providing oversight and guidance to enable the successful delivery of specific projects, and influences the delivery of IT services.
• The BP also actively markets and promotes IT services and ensures that the demand for these is managed and prioritized effectively

• The key to success is a broad knowledge of relevant procurement and other supply chain technologies and trends and compelling communication to business leadership how this enables future business capability.
• Another key to success is to be able to leverage the ITS organization to drive successful delivery, considerate of local needs and global direction.
• The incumbent works within a global matrix organization and needs to influence and coordinate both regional and global stakeholders.
• This role must promote a business-focused, results-oriented technical culture within ITS in support of procurement.
• The role must exhibit an expert understanding of functional procurement disciplines and technical IT knowledge (applications, analytics, hardware, software, security, etc.) to identify opportunities to leverage information technology to achieve business objectives and assist in deployment.
• The role must have the ability to evaluate, recommend, roadmap and drive changes to current and future system requirements to meet global procurement's organizational needs.
• It also requires deep knowledge of the procurement industry, best practice, business and incumbent functional area in order to be a trusted business advisor for the Functional Leaders in the Region.
• This role also provides strategic consulting for large, cross boundary and/or First-Of-A-Kind projects within the function.

Essential Functions:

• Drive strategic business value and innovation.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with the Client Business leadership.
• Acts as owner of ITS for functional or geographic area and liaison between ITS teams and the business (˜One stop shop" or ˜The face of ITS to the Business").
• Partners at a strategic level with business stakeholders to communicate successes, demonstrate IT value and appropriate governance of IT activities.
• Provide boundless leadership.
• Leverage common solutions and innovative technologies.
• Develops, shares, and leverages best practices across IT region and shares with other regions.
• Generate Regional/Functional organization and talent.
• Develops and maintains a broad business understanding.
• Maintains up-to-date awareness of the current and future directions of the industry and associated technologies.
• Manage services provided to business through existing and new technology.
• Gathers business needs and gains alignment between business needs and technical capabilities, engaging with Business Analysts and Enterprise Architects.
• Captures demand via the agreed process, provides recommendations for prioritization, and oversees program and project initiatives.
• Manages business expectations with business stakeholders based on ITS resource availability.
• Promotes business projects and their value to the IT leaders and community.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor (Master's degree preferred)
• 8+ years of IT experience or relevant functional business and process expertise appropriate to the role. ITS experience might be waived if Business experience is strong and person can demonstrate a strong knowledge of IT and Procurement disciplines.
• Experience in strategic decision making and successful influencing on leadership level.
• Financial acumen to support business case creation and measurement
• Experience building and communicating future business plans and capabilities along with being able to provide insights into the technologies required for delivery
• Exposure to SAP technology and processes would be an advantage as SAP is one of Client's core systems
• Broad knowledge of other procurement and connect supply chain technologies and capabilities
• Broad understanding of technologies used in Client and interested in new technologies and market trends
• Additional recommended experience for some Business partner roles: Demonstrated team leadership experience
• Ability to work in a virtual team which may work across distance (remote), cultures and time zones, in a matrix with multiple reporting lines, and may extend outside the Client organization including suppliers, partners and customers.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Project or program management experience in dealing with medium or large projects
• Previous experience in working in various Procurement roles
• Prior Consulting experience in IT, Procurement, end to end supply chain or strategy
• Verbal and written fluency in English is mandatory
