Job Description
As a Test Engineer in the Digital SRE team, you will advocate for the quality of features in the development pipeline, define comprehensive test strategies, design automated test cases to exercise the integrations between various systems, develop test automation frameworks, and implement automated tests. You will work closely with product managers, developers, and other software test engineers to ensure the features we deliver to customers have a high level of quality, correctly balancing test engineering tasks with tight product deadlines.
In addition, you will also have the opportunity to propose improvements to existing processes and automated tools in order to improve the team's speed, quality, and efficiency.
You will join a team of Software, Systems and Network development Engineers who are instrumental in driving the stability and sustainability of our network and to discover innovative ways to automate and scale our network as Frontier expands.

Key job responsibilities
Design and implement engineering team and test quality metrics, involving both data analysis as well as leadership through defining goals for improvement.
Define best practices for Software Engineers on framework usage, debugging, test design, and test analysis.
Implement systems to detect regressions and improve test stability.
Improve existing test infrastructure or creating test infrastructure to increase efficiency and productivity in test case development for the developers in the team.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Programming experience with at least one modern language such as C, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more following: developer tooling and infrastructure, building tools and testing frameworks, test-driven development, building infrastructure, and/or optimizing software
3+ years' experience creating, analyzing and responding to stability alerts from large scale, complex networks
Experience leveraging data science/machine learning techniques to detect regressions
Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure as code.
Experience building services using Azure products.
Experience with Terraform, Consul, Vault.
