Job Description for Installer Position for Texas Shutters & Blinds
Requirements and responsibilities of employee:
Experience required installing shutters, shades, and blinds for a minimum of 2 years.
Agreement to have drivers license and background check
Experience working with customers and good communication skills
Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and coordination on ladders to install and measure window opening.
Installer will be responsible for geographic areas sold and covered by Texas Shutters & Blinds.
Employee will be the primary installer for shutters, shades and blinds sold by TS&B.
o This will include interior and exterior installations for both residential and commercial properties.
Understanding of all products sold by TS&B.
Employee will also be completing exact measurements when needed to support the sales staff.
Employee will coordinate repairs
Employee will pickup product from manufacturers when ready
Normal hours will be 10am to 7pm Monday through Friday with an hour for lunch. Hours may vary depending on customer availability or as needed during busy times.
Attending meeting with the TS&B team as scheduled
Training on exterior shades to eventually do sales appointments for outdoor patio shades.
Close communications with the Office Manager and the Owner related to the daily transactions and action required to assure customer satisfaction and excellent service.
Miscellaneous tasks/job duties as requested by the Owner and Office Manager
Pay will be weekly starting September 1st, 2020 and will consist of the following:
Pay will be weekly based on job experience.
Annual increases will be given based on performance.

TS&B will provide installation vehicle to be kept at the shop location after each day’s work.
o Gas will be provided for the work vehicle, COSTCO credit card
o Insurance on the vehicle for the employee will be provided by TS&B
o Toll tag fees associated with the vehicle paid for by TS&B
GoDaddy email account to be used for work communications.
Cellphone will be provided
Tools needed for installation of Shutters, Blinds, Shades provided by TS&B
Training as needed on interior and exterior window coverings paid for by TS&B.
Certification training as requested or required by TS&B
Uniforms provided
Outlook Calendar Access for scheduling of appointments
Currently the employee is responsible for their own medical insurance
Training as needed to be comfortable with office skills; excel, Google calendar, emails, etc.
Laptop to be provided by TS&B
Social Security and Medicare Paid for employee
Unemployment Insurance contributions for employee
6 Paid Holidays
Paid vacation
2 weeks per year
If the employee agrees with the start date of September 1st, 2020 or sooner.
