Porter Warehouse Worker
Keller, Texas
Position Summary:
As a Porter you are critical in helping clean and maintain a sanitary
warehouse environment for the health and safety of the consumer, our
customer and our employees. Porters do a bit of everything to keep the
business running cleanly and smoothly. Porters make sure that all types
of areas are neat, clean, free of clutter and safe. Porters spend most
of their day picking up trash, sweeping, mopping, recycling, and
processing damages. Porters who are assigned to deep clean will use
hand tools, industrial cleaning chemicals, and other janitorial
equipment to complete detailed cleaning assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High School Diploma or equivalent required
-A valid driver's license is required
-Accurately match letters and numbers
-Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
-Work as a member of a team; accomplish team goals and operational
objectives . Maintain professionalism with management and co-workers.
Communicate with associates from other shifts in a friendly manner
-Comply with all Safety requirements
-Ensure damaged products are removed and cleaned thoroughly. Repack
damaged containers.
-Complete daily logs. Maintain inventory records.
-Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work
assignments and material and equipment needs
-Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical
equipment (where applicable)
-The ability, interest, and willingness to work in ambient or freezer
conditions ranging from 100 degrees to -10 degrees.
-A positive, customer service attitude and effective communication
skills
-Basic detail cleaning experience preferred, demonstrated past problem
solving, tool usage, and cleaning experience.
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the
job.
-Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific
location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a
background screening to include criminal checks, past employment and
education), the ability to pass a drug screen.
-Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor. Flexible to work
overtime preferred

reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift
and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to
100lbs/45kg.
