VOLT is seeking an experienced Technical Writer for our world known manufacturing client located in Dallas, TX. This position will focus on writing procedures- Best Known Method (BKM)- for preventive and corrective equipment maintenance, including step by step instructions and visual aids/pictures.


The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial and mechanical mindset to write these very detailed instructions.


Daily Duties will include:

• New writing and converting an existing documents into a new formats.


• Merging procedural documentation from multiple sources into one cohesive document


• Creating a Best Known Method procedures from scratch by shadowing in the work environment, asking questions and gathering feedback from the engineers/subject matter expert while they perform their duties.


• Elimination of assumed knowledge and incorporation of best practices across shifts will be critical in writing the instructions.


• Identify Part and Item numbers, document procedure numbers.
